Birmingham International Airport handled 871,385 passengers
Birmingham International Airport handled 871,385 passengersduring June 2010 - a fall of 3.1% on the previous year
.
Another solid performance reflecting the increasingly seasonal
nature of the IT market as tour operators now move capacity
around the country for each regions main holiday period....
.
.... the Midlands peak of course starts next week when in addition
to extra flights by the main UK IT operators BHX gains charter
flights operated by Aurela (LY-), BA Cityflyer, Iceland Express
(Astraeus) and Travel Service (OK-)
.
July 2010 also sees a number of new scheduled routes - Aer Lingus
Regional have added Shannon while flybe commence new seasonal
services to Avignon, Bordeaux, Limoges, Perpignan and Rennes in
France filling gaps in their summer schedule as a result of reduced
flying on business routes during the holiday season
