World Duty Free to develop new stores at Birmingham as part of "One Terminal" project

World Duty Free have announced they will be
developing a new store as part of the "One Terminal"
airside redevelopment at Birmingham Airport
.
The existing Alpha Airport Shopping store will be relocated
and rebranded "World Duty Free" - both brands now being
owned by Autogrill whose contract to provide travel retail
and duty free shopping at BHX has been extended to 2021
.
From Spring 2011 all passengers will be processed through
a new central security search area and the two existing
terminals will become a single facility with the new "walk
through" store being accessible to all departing passengers
.
The existing Terminal 2 outlet will be transformed into an
"express" format while a further stored will be opened in
the new central arrivals area that is also being constructed
as part of the "One Terminal" project
