Germanwings takes over the operation of the Birmingham to Dusseldorf service from Lufthansa

Germanwings have today, Thursday 18 September 2014, taken over the operation
of the Birmingham to Dusseldorf service from parent company Lufthansa

The route will continue to be operated on a three times daily basis by Eurowings
Canadair CRJ900's now flying on behalf of Germanwings rather than Lufthansa
with D-ACNN operating the inaugural flight to Dusseldorf on Thursday morning

Germanwings is the low cost airline within the Lufthansa Group that is taking over
responsibility for all their European and domestic services that do not serve the
Lufthansa hub airports of Frankfurt and Munich

Germanwings offers three different types of fares on its services - "Basic", "Smart" and "Best"

Germanwings schedule to Dusseldorf from Thursday 18 September 2014

0715/0750 4U 9336/9337 CR9 from/to Dusseldorf
- operates Monday to Saturday - Eurowings flying for Germanwings
1540/1615 4U 9334/9335 CR9 from/to Dusseldorf
- operates Monday to Friday + Sunday - Eurowings flying for Germanwings
1935/2010 4U 9330/9331 CR9 from/to Dusseldorf
- operates Monday to Friday + Sunday - Eurowings flying for Germanwings

In addition Eurowings flying for Germanwings continue to serve Hamburg
- their service to Berlin Tegel ended on Sunday 31 August 2014
