| Jet2 and Jet2holidays celebrated their first ever scheduled flights and package holidays departing from Birmingham Airport on Thursday 30 March 2017 - they will fly to 23 destinations from the airport using four brand new Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft. More than 200 jobs have been created as a result of the new operation, which will see 57 weekly flights at peak times |

| Flights will operate from Birmingham Airport this Summer to: Alicante, Arrecife, Faro, Fuerteventura, Gerona, Heraklion, Ibiza, Las Palmas, Mahon, Malaga, Palma, Paphos, Reus, Rhodes and Tenerife In addition, flights will also operate to Funchal, Geneva, Grenoble, Krakow, Prague, Salzburg and Turin during Winter 2017/18.
