Eurowings to launch short seasonal service to Berlin for Christmas 2017 and New Year 2018 holidays

Eurowings, the German low-cost carrier, has announced it will launch flights from Birmingham
to Berlin. This new service will operate twice weekly on Fridays and Sundays from 1 December
2017 until 7 January 2018 catering for the Christmas market and New Year city break seekers

William Pearson, Aviation Director for Birmingham Airport, said: "It's fantastic to see Eurowings
expanding its list of routes from Birmingham Airport to cater for the popular festive market"

"Berlin is a great city with world renowned museums, architecture, entertainment venues, nightlife
and a cosmopolitan culture. We are sure these flights will be very popular with those passengers
seeking a city break around the festive season"

Eurowings is headquartered in Cologne and serves a network of domestic and European destinations
as well as some long-haul routes. From Birmingham it already operates flights to Dusseldorf and
Vienna with a seasonal service to Salzburg planned to start on Saturday 9 December 2017

popular traditional German markets are around Christmas time and Berlin has one of the world's best.
It's also a fantastic city to be in to celebrate the New Year with lots going on outdoors as well as great
nightlife to enjoy. These flights are running for one month and so we urge passengers to book early
as we expect seats to sell quickly"
Eurowings schedule to Berlin from 1 December 2017

1420/1500 EW8330/8331 319 from/to Berlin Tegel
- operates on Friday and Sunday

Flights will be operated by a Germanwings Airbus A319 between 1 December 2017
and 8 January 2018 with no flights/revised schedule during Christmas/New Year
