Continental Airlines - which merged with United Airlines in
2010 - commenced the route back on Tuesday 15 July 1997
when Boeing 757 N12114 operated the inaugural flight

Passengers travelling on flight UA 027 to Newark, New York,
were joined by Bob Schumacher, United's Managing Director
Sales UK & Ireland who cut the birthday cake!
