Wednesday 16 April 2008 - First visit of winglet equiped Boeing 737-900 to BHX

KLM used Boeing 737-900 PH-BXR on their mid morning
service from Amsterdam - this was the first visit of
a winglet equiped Boeing 737-900 to BHX
Aeronova Metro EC-JCU diverted from Coventry in the early
hours of Wednesday morning due to fog and spent the day
parked up on the Elmdon apron

Monday 14 April 2008 - Air Baltic Boeing 737 YL-BBF flying for SAS

Air Baltic took over the operation of the evening SAS service from
Copenhagen with Boeing 737-548 YL-BBF operating the first flight
Turkmenistan Boeing 757-22K EZ-A014 operated their
evening service from Ashgabat

Saturday 12 April 2008 - flybe Dash 8 G-JECL named "The George Best"

flybe Dash 8Q-400 G-JECL which is named after footballer
George Best operated the morning service from/to the Isle of Man
Atlantic Airways BAe 146-200 OY-RCB operated the
morning SAS service from Copenhagen

Friday 11 April 2008 - Kenn Borek Air Twin otter C-GKBH departs to Iceland

After spending the night on the Elmdon apron Kenn Borek Air
Twin Otter C-GKBH made an early departure for Iceland on the
next stage of its long journey home to Canada from the Maldives

Thursday 10 April 2008 - Ken Borek Air Twin Otter C-GKBH arrives from Brindisi

Kenn Borek Air Twin Otter C-GKBH arrived from Brindisi, Italy,
in the early evening to night stop at BHX on its journey home
to Canada from the Maldives
Royal Air Force BN Islander CC2A ZF573 visited
the Elmdon apron at lunchtime

Helvetic Fokker 100 HB-JVG - in their new colour scheme -
operated the morning Swiss service from Zurich
Lufthansa Airbus A319 D-AILS operated the
morning service from Frankfurt
Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-CSW - which wears additional "Girona"
titles - operated the early morning service from Dublin
TAG Aviation Canadair Regional Jet 100SE HB-IDJ which had
arrived on Tuesday evening departed to Geneva

Monday 7 April 2008 - Blue Line MD 83's F-GMLI and F-GMLK visit on charters

Blue Line operated two charter flights from Paris CDG - the first
flight was operated by MD 83 F-GMLI which wears additional
"Livingston Energy Flight" and "Hotelplan" titles....
.... with the second flight operated by MD 83 F-GMLK

Sunday 6 April 2008 - Snow!! - an overnight snowfall followed by a bright sunny morning!!

Aer Lingus Airbus A320-214 EI-CVB operated their
morning Dublin service....
.... while Norwegian used Boeing 737-3L9 LN-KKT
on their Warsaw service
Augsburg Airways/Lufthansa Regional Dash 8Q-400 D-ADHP
finally departed to Munich as the "LH 9990 "after its extended
stay in the flybe hangar on checks

SAS used Atlantic Airways Avro RJ 85 OY-RCE on their service from Copenhagen
.Eurojet's smart new Cessna Sovereign 680 G-CJCC spent the day

parked up on the Elmdon apron after arriving at BHX for the first

time on Saturday evening
. Air Berlin Boeing 737-800 D-ABBX in the first version on their

new colour scheme operated their flight from Paderborn

Sunday 6 April 2008 - Diversions!!

Diversions!! - snow in the South East resulted in
diversions from both Heathrow and Gatwick
British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-CIVI diverted in while
operating the "BA 116" from New York JFK - after taking
on more fuel it continued to Heathrow....
. .... doing its bit to clear the remaining snow from the airfield
British Airways Airbus A319 G-EUPC diverted in while
operating the "BA 699" from Vienna - after an extended
stay it also continued onto Heathrow

First Choice Boeing 767-300 G-DBLA diverted in from Gatwick

while operating the "FCA 071" from Cancun. After offloading the

passengers it positioned out to Manchester

Saturday 5 April 2008 - Swiftair MD 83 EC-JQV wearing "Real Madrid" titles

Swiftair MD 83 EC-JQV - which wears "Real Madrid" titles - positioned
into BHX on Friday evening to operate a charter flight to Murcia
The latest Airbus A321 for Monarch G-OZBR also arrived on Friday
evening and after operating the ZB496/497 to/from Alicante positioned
to Manchester. The aircraft is in the basic colour scheme of
Spirit Airlines it former operator
Air Slovakia Boeing 757 OM-ASB positioned in to operate their
weekly flight to Amritsar via Bratislava

Friday 4 April 2008 - Eurowings BAe 146 D-AEWB diverts in from Bristol

Poor weather in the South West resulted in another influx
of diversions - Eurowings BAe 146-300 D-AEWB was operating
the new Lufthansa service from Frankfurt to Bristol when
it diverted to BHX. It later positioned back to Frankfurt
Orionair BAe 146-300 EC-JVO operated a charter flight
bringing the Montpellier Rugby team in for their match
against Worcester on Saturday
Air Contractor ATR 72 EI-FXG - which is in FedEx colours
- visited the terminal side of the airport to do engine runs
on Taxiway Echo
. Monarch Airbus A300-600R G-MONS visited in the early evening
operating a trooping flight and parking on the Elmdon apron

Wednesday 2 April 2008 - poor weather results in diversions from Bristol and Cardiff

Poor weather in the South West and Wales resulted in a number
of diversions from Bristol and Cardiff including KLM cityhopper
Fokker 100's PH-OFA and PH-OFP which parked up
on the 20's stands
