Primera Air add flights from Birmingham to Palma and Malaga to their transatlantic offering for Summer 2018

Primera Air, after recently announcing direct flights from Birmingham to Newark, New York,
Boston and Toronto is adding two more leisure destinations - Palma, Mallorca, and Malaga

Primera Air has already established a strong and well-known European leisure carrier image
in Scandinavia and now the low cost airline is bringing the company's core product to the UK.
From Monday 18 May 2018 flights to Palma, Mallorca, and Malaga will be operated daily from
Birmingham using 189 seat Boeing 737-800 in a one class configuration

"We see a stable and high demand for our transatlantic flights from Birmingham to New York,
Boston and Toronto. It has encouraged us to introduce more flights to leisure destinations in
Spain that historically has been our core product and service in which we have an extensive
experience. Flights to Mallorca and Malaga will improve the leisure flight schedule for travellers
to already beloved destinations" says Andri Már Ingólfsson, the President and owner of Primera Air

William Pearson, Aviation Director of Birmingham Airport said: "After announcing new flights to
New York, Boston and Toronto from Birmingham Airport in 2018, these new short haul routes to
Mallorca and Malaga will give those looking for sun and beach holidays closer to home greater
low cost choice from the Midlands' leading airport.  It is great to see Primera Air recognising
Birmingham as a key strategic airport in its growth plans and we look forward to working with
the airline when it launches next year"
 
As previously announced, Primera Air starts flying to New York and Boston from Birmingham
at the beginning of May 2018. For the next two years Primera Air will increase its presence on
the existing bases and open other trans-Atlantic routes, as well as open new bases, as the
airlines has 20 new Boeing Max9-ER on order

Primera Air announces another destination with direct flights to Toronto from Birmingham Airport

Primera Air have announced the opening of another North America destination from its new base
in Birmingham. Services to Toronto, Canada, will commence on Saturday 23 June 2018 and will be
a year round operation offering three weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday

Daily flights to Newark New York and four weekly flights to Boston were announced earlier in the year

addition to our earlier announced Newark New York and Boston routes from Birmingham"

Aircraft will provide two classes of cabin - full-service Premium and low-fare Economy, Wi-Fi and
the opportunity for all passengers to charge their devices on board

expanding its choice of popular Transatlantic destinations from Birmingham by adding a new route of
Toronto.  Having only announced two routes to Boston and Newark New York in July of this year this
shows the demand that Primera Air is seeing from the Midlands. We recommend that passengers book
ahead to avoid disappointment as we expect seats  will sell quickly."

Primera Air to launch services to Boston and Newark New York from Birmingham Airport in Summer 2018

Primera Air, the Icelandic owned leisure airline, will launch transatlantic scheduled
services to Newark New York and Boston from Birmingham Airport in May 2018

Flights to Newark New York will depart from Birmingham daily with Boston departing
on a Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The airline will base its brand new
Airbus A321neoLRs, configured with 16 Premium Economy seats and 182 Economy
seats, at Birmingham Airport.  Passengers can also use the Wi-Fi on board and the
aircraft has full charging facilities for their devices.

William Pearson, Aviation Director of Birmingham Airport commented: "We are
delighted to be entering in to a partnership with an additional transatlantic airline. 
Primera Air will offer daily flights to New York and give passengers the chance to
visit Massachusetts' capital and largest city - Boston. This is a brand new route
from Birmingham so we are delighted that Primera Air will give people from the
region the opportunity to visit this city direct from their local airport"

Services from Birmingham to US will commence in May 2018 and will be year-round
operations. Primera Air tickets will go on sale from the Thursday 20 July 2017 with
