by Monarch Aircraft Engineering - this is the first Boeing 787-9 to visit BHX

Aer Lingus Airbus A320-214 EI-EZW operated their evening service from Dublin - it is in Virgin Atlantic
colours and normally operates the latter's domestic flights from Heathrow. It was its first visit to BHX

Wednesday 12 February 2014 - Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-343 G-VKSS diverts in from Heathrow

Virgin Atlantic Airbus A330-343 G-VKSS was an afternoon arrival....

when it diverted in due to poor weather and cross winds at Heathrow....

After parking up the sun soon came out - after unloading the passengers
at BHX the aircraft later positioned back to Heathrow

Air France Airbus A320-214 F-GKXC operated their morning flight to Paris CDG - the
first visit to BHX of this aircraft which was until recently been based in the Caribbean

Blue1 Boeing 717-2K9 OH-BLO operated the morning SAS service from Copenhagen....

.... its first visit to BHX - the colour scheme on this aircraft is called "Forest Bond"

Air Bright Antonov 26B LZ-ABR still in its "The Expendables 3" colour scheme but now
wearing additional Air Bright titles was an afternoon visitor to the Elmdon apron

Falcon 7X M-LJGI was a morning arrival soon disappearing into the
Monarch Hangar to protect the aircraft from the coming storm

Falcon 7X VP-BZE was a lunchtime arrival parking up to night stop

Citation Bravo G-EHGW appeared out of the Eurojet hangar as it operation was transferred to Flairjet

Sunday 31 January 2010 - Virgin Boeing 747 G-VLIP diverts in from Manchester

Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-443 G-VLIP diverted in while operating

flight "VS 076" from Orlando when the runway at Manchester was

closed following an early morning snow shower....

.... it later positioned back to Manchester

Thomas Cook Airbus A330-243 G-MDBD was operating flight
"TCX 034L" from Calgary to Manchester when it also diverted

Continental Boeing 757-224 N14120 operated their service
to Newark - the aircraft is now in "Star Alliance" colours

Maldivian Air Taxi/Kenn Borek Air Twin Otter C-GTKB was a
late afternoon arrival from Dubrovnik - after refueling it continued
on its way to Keflavik, Iceland, and onto Calgary, Canada
.
Piper Dakota G-ODAK which had arrived on Saturday evening
departed - it wears a British Airways tail colour scheme

Wednesday 6 January 2010 - the snow moves south - yet more diversions!!

Star diversion was Mexicana Boeing 767-25DER XA-MXO which
arrived from Mexico City as the "MX 1594"....

.... after diverting from a snow closed Gatwick

BHX's new International Pier was put to good use after an influx of

diversions from Gatwick including two Emirates Boeing 777's and a

First Choice 767 which joined the BHX Emirates 777 and a PIA 777....

.... while two Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747-400's parked on the 80's

stands - both arrived from Orlando G-VTOP (on left) as the

"VS 016" while G-VROY (on right) was operating the "VS 028"

from Tirana went it diverted in - it later positioned back to Stansted

Once again well done to the BHX Ops team for getting the Airport
open again this morning after the heaviest snow fall for years!!
