Monday 6 May 2013 - ULS Airlines Cargo Airbus A310-308F TC-SGM operates a charter from Istanbul

ULS Airlines Cargo Airbus A310-308F TC-SGM was an early morning visitor arriving....

.... from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and landing on Runway 33 just after dawn

.... and parking on the Elmdon apron - the aircraft has recently returned from lease
to Saudi Arabian Airlines in whose basis colour scheme it still operates

Ground handling equipment was soon on the aircraft....

.... and the unloading of the 13 pallets of motor racing equipment began

.... with the freight being rapidly transferred to the freight centre

That did not take long! - the inside of an empty Airbus A310F

The sun was now up allowing a better view of the aircraft on the Elmdon apron....

.... with the empty pallets reloaded back on the aircraft it was time for it to start up

.... and taxi for a departure off Runway 33

.... back to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport - a job well done by all involved!

Atlantic Airlines Boeing 737-322SF G-JMCL which had had arrived on Sunday evening
spent the day parked up - it is used to transport race horses and was visiting BHX
because of the reduced opening hours at its Coventry base over the holiday weekend

Jettime Boeing 737-3Y0QC OY-JTH operated the morning SAS service to Copenhagen
in place of the usual Canadair CRJ900 - its first visit to BHX....

.... it later return again operating the evening SAS service

Thursday 14 October 2010 - Saudi Arabian Royal Flight Boeing 747SP HZ-AIF departs

Saudi Arabian Royal Flight Boeing 747SP-68 HZ-AIF was towed

back to the Elmdon apron to depart after its 24 hour stay at BHX....

.... another tour of the airport and it was ready to depart

.... lining up on Runway 33 at Echo 1 bringing the first visit of
a Boeing 747SP to Birmingham to a conclusion
.
Sikorsky S 92 G-LAWX was a late afternoon arrival....
.

.... with the passengers for Boeing 737-73T BBJ N500LS
which was soon on its way back to the United States
.

Cirrus Airlines Dornier 328-110 D-COSA was an afternoon
visitor to the Elmdon apron
.

Room for a little one! - Premier 1A G-EVRD was an afternoon

visitor to an always packed Elmdon apron....
.

.... while Agusta A-109C G-HBEK was a morning arrival

Wednesday 13 October 2010 - first visit of a Boeing 747SP to Birmingham!!

Saudi Arabian Royal Flight Boeing 747SP-68 HZ-AIF touches down

on Runway 33 becoming the first "747SP" to visit Birmingham!!

.

It taxied back around the airport to park on the Elmdon apron
. The aircraft has recently gained "God Bless You" titles on the nose
. After an extended stay on the packed Elmdon apron
the departure was cancelled....
. .... and HZ-AIF was towed back across the Runway
to park up for the night on Stand 85C
.
Aviavilsa Antonov 26B LY-APK which arrived on a priority
freight charter in the early hours of the morning spent the
day parked up on Taxiway Lima - its first visit to BHX
.
Eastern Embraer 135ER G-CGMB positioned in from Paris Le Bourget
to operate a charter to Geneva on Thursday - another first visit!
. Lufthansa Flight Training Citation CJ1 D-ILHB also made
a first visit operating a training flight departing and to Dublin

visitor to the Elmdon apron before positioning down to Heathrow

Learjet 60 M-IGHT also made a visit to the packed Elmdon apron

Saturday 12 January 2008 - Saudi Arabian/Atlas Jet Boeing 757 TC-OGT spends day at BHX

Saudi Arabian operated their return Hajj charter flight into BHX in the
early hours of Saturday morning. The flight was operated by AtlasJet
Boeing 757 TC-OGT in a hybrid colour scheme with the aircraft spending
the day parked on the 70's stands before positioning out in the evening

.

Thomas Cook used Boeing 757 G-JMCE on their ski IT flight from Lyon - the

aircraft now has additional "Vote for a Free Day" stickers supporting the

campaign for an extra days Bank Holiday in the UK
.

Lufthansa Regional used Cityline Canadair CRJ 100 D-ACJJ on their mid

morning service from Munich

Austrian Arrows used Dash 8Q-400 OE-LGI on their weekly IT flight - it was again

delayed due to snow at Bolzano with the inbound flight arriving from Verona
