Jet2 and Jet2holidays celebrate the first flights and holidays from their new Birmingham Airport base

Jet2 and Jet2holidays celebrated their first ever scheduled flights and package holidays departing
from Birmingham Airport on Thursday 30 March 2017 - they will fly to 23 destinations from the
airport using four brand new Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft. More than 200 jobs have
been created as a result of the new operation, which will see 57 weekly flights at peak times


Flights will operate from Birmingham Airport this Summer to: Alicante, Arrecife, Faro, Fuerteventura,
Gerona, Heraklion, Ibiza, Las Palmas, Mahon, Malaga, Palma, Paphos, Reus, Rhodes and Tenerife

In addition, flights will also operate to Funchal, Geneva, Grenoble, Krakow, Prague, Salzburg and
Turin during Winter 2017/18. Two New York trips in November 2017 complete the list of routes


There are more than 840,000 seats on sale for Summer 2017 and Winter 2017/18 from Birmingham
Airport with Jet2 which has been voted by Trip Advisor and Skytrax as the UK's Top Airline, and is

flight times, low fares and 0% credit card fees

frequency of this service to three times weekly and moved to early morning timings

in preparation for operating the Sunday morning newspaper flight to the Isle of Man

Saturday 27 December 2014 - Cavok Air, Jet2 Holidays and Wizz Air are overnight diversions due to snow

Cavok Air Antonov 12BP UR-CKL was a morning departure positioning over to East Midlands....

.... it was one of a number of diversions on Friday evening when East Midlands had been closed
by snow - it had held for two hours before diverting to BHX - other diversions included....

Jet2 Holidays Boeing 737-8K5 G-GDFU which had arrived from Arrecife - its first visit as such although....

.... it had previously visited when it was D-AHFX with TUIfly - it positioned back to East Midlands

Jet2 Holidays Boeing 737-85P G-GDFF had arrived from Tenerife also a first visit as such....

.... it had previously visited as EC-HGP with Air Europe - it also returned to East Midlands

Wizz Air Airbus A320-232 HA-LWF had diverted in from Doncaster which was also closed by snow....

.... it positioned back to Katowice from where it had arrived - this was its first visit to BHX

Swiss Airbus A321-111 HB-IOC operated their delayed morning service to Zurich

Austrian Airbus A320-214 OE-LBR operated their weekly IT/inclusive tour flight from Innsbruck

Ryanair Boeing 737-8AS EI-FEI operated their flight from Faro - its first visit to BHX

Ukraine Air Alliance Antonov 12BP UR-CGW was a late afternoon arrival from Ponta Delgada
in the Azores as it positioned to operate an aid flight to South Sudan on Sunday

Aviation Beaumont Citation XLS G-OJER made a brief lunchtime visit to the Elmdon apron

Hangar8 Hawker 900XP G-URTH was an afternoon arrival from Edinburgh
