was an afternoon departure to Seattle - it operates for Costco

and had visited for the opening of their new store in Coventry

another with supporters on the Thursday

stopping on the Thursday. This should be a "TVQ" Travel Service

Slovakia OM- aircraft. Bratislava is of course only a short drive

July 2010 passenger figures

Birmingham International Airport handled 928,283 passengers

during July 2010 - a fall of 4.2% on the previous year
.
A very good month!? - while total passengers were down those

that did fly flew further = more income for all concerned! - with

good increases on most long haul routes - Dubai was up 15.4% -

while Turkey - up 30.1% - was the boom destination for the

holiday/IT market

.

The month saw Aer Lingus Regional start their new service to

Shannon while flybe commenced seasonal services to Avignon,

Bordeaux, Limoges, Perpignan and Rennes in France

.

During July signicant growth was achieved on

scheduled flights to destinations such as -

Arrecife 144.2%, Tehran 99.5%, Tenerife 75.1%,

Ibiza 63.6%, Bydgoszcz 60.6%, Gerona 58.4%,

Toulouse 43.2%, Milan 37.5%, Cork 35.2%,

Faro 34.0%, Bergerac 30.1%, Dubai 15.4%

Zurich 14.7%, Islambad 11.7% and Munich 11.1%

.

Charter traffic which experience growth included -

Dominican Republic 95.5%, Austria 33.0%, Turkey 30.1%,

Croatia 22.5% and Bulgaria 11.5%

.

Scheduled traffic accounted for 71.6% of the total

passenger traffic in July whilst charter passengers

made up the remaining 28.4%
