Monday 3 September 2007 - Brit Air Canadair CRJ100 F-GRJO operates Lyon inaugural flight

Air France commenced their new twice daily scheduled service
from Lyon which is operated on their behalf by Brit Air. The
inaugural flight was operated by Canadair Regional Jet F-GRJO
seen here arriving onto stand 25

The first outbound service carried a delegation to visit Lyon
which is "twinned" with the City of Birmingham

The mid morning Ryanair service from Dublin - FR 664/665
was operated by Boeing 737-800 EI-CSC which is painted in
Cable and Wireless colours

Sunday 2 September 2007 - Air Berlin Boeing 737 D-ABKA

Air Berlin used their recently delivered Boeing 737-800 D-ABKA
on their afternoon service from Paderborn. It is notable for both
being one of a small number of their 738's not to have winglets and
also having a registration once used on a Lufthansa Boeing 727-200

Saturday 1 September 2007 - CityJet BAe 146 EI-CNQ flying for Air France

The AF 5133 to Paris CDG was operated by BAe 146-200 EI-CNQ
which is still in the original CityJet colour scheme

Friday 31 August 2007 - ADAC Dornier 328JET D-BADA visits on air ambulance flight

ADAC - the German "AA" - operated an Air Ambulance flight
from Corfu using Dornier 328JET D-BADA which is operated
on their behalf by Aero Dienst.

After being based at BHX for nearly a month Boeing 737-800
EI-DMZ of Futura operated its final flights for MyTravel before
positioning back to Palma as the MYT 506P

Cirrus Dornier 328JET D-BGAL operated a charter flight from
Zurich - after day stopping on the western apron the aircraft
returned to Zurich in the early evening.

The morning SAS service - SK 2533/2334 - was operated by
MD 81 SE-DMB which is in the "Star Alliance" colour scheme

SAS used an Airbus A321-232 OY-KBE in place of the
usual MD 87 on their morning service from Copenhagen

Friday 17 August 2007 - Onur Air Airbus A300 TC-ONT operates their flight from Bodrum

Onur Air used an Airbus A300B4 - TC-ONT - in place of the
usual -600R on their flight "OHY 1691" from Bodrum. The
aircraft still wears the fuselage scheme of Saudi Arabian
from its earlier lease to that airline

Thursday 16 August 2007 - RAF VC 10 C1K operates flight to Hannover


Always good to see a "classic" aircraft at BHX! - VC 10 C1K XV105
- which wears the "101 Squadron 90th Anniversary" tail scheme -
positioned in from Brize Norton to operate flight RR 2508 to Hannover

TUIfly used a Boeing 737-300 in place of the usual -700 on the
X3 4120 from Cologne - the aircraft wears the "Bach-Leipzig" tail c/s

Tuesday 14 August 2007 - LAT Charter Airbus A320 YL-LCD flying for Air Malta

LAT Charter used Airbus A320 YL-LCD, in place of YL-LCC which
was away on checks, on the Air Malta KM 5172/5173 IT flight from
Malta. It still wears "231" on the tail and front undercarriage door
from its time with Air Canada

Monarch Boeing 757 G-MOND was a surprise visitor arriving from
London Gatwick as the "MON 757P" to operate the delayed "ZB 970"
to Malaga in place of the usual Airbus A321
.
The aircraft wears the "hedkandi" special colour scheme
