being invited to share their memories of Birmingham Airport
on Wednesday 9 July 2008, in preparation for the
Airport’s 70th anniversary next year
.
The coffee morning event, at Marston Green Village Hall,
between 9.30-11.30am, will be open to members of the
public who have an interesting story or memory to share
of the Airport from the last seven decades. Perhaps you
remember the opening ceremony way back in 1939 or
have fond memories of the old Airport site at Elmdon.
If so we want to hear your story on the day

The event will feature an exhibition of historic photographs
and will by attended by current and retired Airport staff,
while the coffee morning will also be featured on BBC WM’s
Ed Doolan Show. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a
continental breakfast and tea and coffee while
reminiscing about the Airport’s illustrious history
.
