Blue City Aviation Metro G-CEGE dropped into Birmingham
while on a training flight out of Coventry
.
It has been undergoing maintenance in preparation for
its return to service and will shortly become Birmingham
based again and available for general charter work

Gulfstream G200 Galaxy OE-HAS which arrived on Saturday
evening spent the day parked up on the Elmdon apron

flybe Dash 8Q-402 G-JECI still wears "british european" titles....

.... although the rest of the aircraft is in their current colour scheme

Brussels Airlines leased Tyrolean Dash 8Q-402 OE-LGC operated
their afternoon service to Brussels - it overheated it brakes on
landing and required the attendance of the Airport Fire Service

Citation XLS D-CKHG was a lunchtime arrival parking up
to night stop on the Elmdon apron - its first visit to BHX

New Air Traffic Control Tower - new view of Birmingham Airport!!

This will be the view the Air Traffic Controllers will have when
Birmingham Airport's new ATC Tower is completed in 2013....

a Hercules are on the apron - the new Eurojet hangar is on the left

Where did he come from!? - the structure of new ATC Tower
is now nearing completion - it will then be fitted out with the
ATC equipment and after training will be operational in 2013
.

Air France to use Brit Air Canadair CRJ 1000's from Paris CDG to Birmingham

Air France (AF) are planning to use Brit Air Canadair CRJ 1000's
on their evening Paris CDG service from the start of the summer
schedules on Sunday 25 March 2012
.
This will be a new sub type of the Canadair Regional Jet to visit
Birmingham - its three letter type code is "CRK"
.
Brit Air currently have 11 CRK's in service - F-HMLA is in their
scheme - the rest of the fleet are in Air France colours
.
Please see below for the Canadair CRJ 1000 schedule - the
morning and evening Air France Paris CDG services will
continue to be operated by Airbus A318's
.
Air France have also confirmed that their Lyon service which
is currently operated twice daily by Brit Air Canadair CRJ100's
will cease on Friday 23 March 2012
