SAS Scandinavian Airlines to resume service from Stockholm to Birmingham Airport

SAS Scandinavian Airlines has announced it will resume flights to Stockholm from Birmingham Airport
commencing on Friday 30 March 2018. It previously operated the route until Friday 27 June 2014

This currently unserved route will operate twice weekly on Fridays and Sundays using a variety
of aircraft types including 120 seat Boeing 737s

William Pearson, Birmingham Airport's Aviation Director, said: "SAS is a long standing airline at
Birmingham Airport and it's great to see an expansion of its services to include a new route of
Stockholm added to its existing route of Copenhagen"

beautiful architecture. The city stretches across fourteen islands meaning there is stunning
scenery. It also offers great nightlife and restaurants and local warmth and hospitality"

our passengers, both traveling for pleasure and business"

Fares will start from £82.00 one way including taxes and charges

SAS Scandinavian to launch new service from Stockholm to Birmingham Airport

SAS Scandinavian Airlines have announced today/Wednesday

that they will be starting a new 6 times a week service to
Stockholm Arlanda from the the start of the winter 2012 schedules
.

Hans Dyhrfort, SAS Regional General Manager for the UK, Ireland
& Iceland: said: "We are delighted to announce the expansion of
our operations from the UK’s second largest city – with 8 million
people living within 60 minutes of the airport, Birmingham is
an important area of development for us"

Airport: said, "We’re delighted that SAS has recognised the need
for services to Stockholm for Midlands’ business and leisure
travellers and has taken the decision to expand its route network
from Birmingham Airport. We look forward to launching the

to Sweden’s wonderful capital city"

The daily flights to Stockholm will operate on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and prices start from
£104, one-way including all taxes and charges

SAS introduce new "NextGen" Canadair CRJ900 onto Copenhagen to BHX service

From Thursday 15 January 2009 SAS Scandinavian Airlines

introduced the new NextGen Canadair CRJ900 aircraft on its evening

service from Birmingham to the Danish capital, Copenhagen
.
The NextGen CRJ900, produced by Bombardier, is the most fuel
efficient in its class. In addition to the environmental and economic
benefits the new model significantly reduces noise pollution as it is
four times quieter than its predecessor

.

The NextGen CRJ900 offers enhanced passenger comfort with a
redesigned cabin offering spacious new generation seats, greater
storage facilities with larger overhead bins, bigger windows and a
new LED cool lighting system

.

Commenting on the introduction of the NextGen CRJ900,
Lars-Ove Filipson, General Manager United Kingdom & Ireland,
Scandinavian Airlines said: "Birmingham International is the
premier gateway between the Midlands and Scandinavia and is a
key airport for SAS in the UK. The introduction of the NextGen

SAS to use new Canadair CRJ900's to BHX!!

SAS Scandinavian Airlines - who have 10 new Canadair CRJ900's

on order for delivery starting in November 2008 - will be using

this new type to BHX on their evening SK 2535/2536 service

from Copenhagen when it enters service later in the year
