Wizz Air launch "Budapest" livery on an Airbus A321 that will be seen on their service to Birmingham

Wizz Air in partnership with Budapest Airport and the Budapest 2024 Olympic and Paralympic bid have
unveiled the livery of its first "Budapest" aircraft that will be seen on their service to Birmingham....

.... as part of its sponsorship towards the Budapest 2024 Olympic and Paralympic bid, Wizz Air has
decorated one Airbus A321 - HA-LXJ - and one Airbus A320 (due in service 1 December 2016) aircraft
of its Budapest based fleet with unique livery carrying Budapest 2024 design elements. The elements
reflect the waves of the Danube River that flows through the heart of the city, as well as the historic
monument of the Statue of Liberty located on one of the highest hills of the Hungarian capital - both
aircraft will wear this livery until 31 August 2017

Wizz Air makes more of Central and Eastern Europe accessible direct from Birmingham Airport‏

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, has recently celebrated
inaugural flights to three new destinations from Birmingham Airport, adding Sofia, Bucharest
and Wroclaw to its list of low-fare destinations means that the airline now serves Poland,
Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary from Birmingham

The beautiful Polish city of Wroclaw is accessible twice a week from Birmingham Airport with
flights on Mondays and Fridays. The city is famous for having more than 100 bridges and one
of the largest urban squares in Poland

The capital city of Sofia, the largest city of the Republic of Bulgaria, departs twice weekly on a
Sunday and Wednesday making it easy to explore this ancient city. Founded thousands of years
ago, today the capital continues to develop as the country’s cultural and economic centre

Bucharest, the bustling metropolis of Romania’s capital city, known for its tree-lined boulevards,
glorious buildings and many fantastic bars and restaurants can now be visited twice a week. The
route will depart Birmingham Airport on a Wednesday and Sunday

Wizz operated their inaugural flight to Bucharest on Sunday 22 May 2016

Wizz Air announce new route from Birmingham to Sofia, Bulgaria, and increase flights to Budapest

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced
a new route from Birmingham to Sofia, capital  of Bulgaria. The route will commence
on Monday 28 March 2016 and will be operated by Airbus A320s with two weekly flights
on Mondays and Fridays. The new service will be Wizz Air’s sixth low-fare route from
Birmingham, along with Bucharest, Budapest, Poznan, Warsaw and Wroclaw

Tamara Mshvenieradze, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air said: "We are
thrilled to announce a sixth route from Birmingham Airport, one of our eight UK airports,
today. Birmingham is now connected with four countries on WIZZ’s low-fares: Hungary,
Romania, Poland and Bulgaria we look forward to a fruitful partnership with Birmingham

William Pearson, Aviation Development Director at Birmingham Airport said: "This news

from Birmingham. Having launched only in September 2015 with flights to Warsaw and
Budapest, the carrier has since launched flights to Poznan and will be operating to Wroclaw,
Bucharest and Sofia from the summer, as well as increasing services to the popular city

Wizz Air operates its inaugural Airbus A320 flight from Warsaw, Poland, to Birmingham Airport

Wizz Air, the largest low cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, became the newest airline to serve
Birmingham Airport today, Monday 15 September 2015, when it operated its inaugural Airbus A320 flight
from Warsaw, Poland, arriving at 0930 with 147 passengers on board. The Hungarian airline will also
serve Birmingham to Budapest, Hungary, from Tuesday 15 September 2015

 
Welcoming Wizz Air’s inaugural flight from Warsaw were the Airport’s Chief Executive, Paul Kehoe, and
the Polish Honorary Consul for the West Midlands, Councillor Fran Oborski MBE

Mr Kehoe said, "It is fantastic to welcome another new airline to Birmingham; our seventh this year. Both
Warsaw and Budapest are popular tourist destinations that have not been served from Birmingham for some
time so we are extremely pleased to be able to offer our customers even more choice and thank Wizz Air for
recognising the Midlands as a new market opportunity"

These two new routes each operate twice a week, with Warsaw operating each Monday and Friday and
Budapest each Tuesday and Saturday. Flights are available to book via wizzair.com from £15.49 each way

Councillor Fran Oborski MBE, said "With such a large Polish Community living in the Midlands, this new
Warsaw service will be welcomed by many who need greater connectivity to visit friends and family. Warsaw
is also a stunning city with varied architecture and thriving nightlife and music scene so I am certain that

Wizz Air announces direct flights from Budapest and Warsaw to Birmingham Airport‏ from September 2015

Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today Thursday 25 June 2015
announced direct flights from Birmingham to Budapest and Warsaw. Both services will be operated
from mid-September 2015 with two flights per week on each route

The services to Birmingham, WIZZ’s 8th UK airport, will operate from Budapest on Tuesdays and
Saturdays and from Warsaw on Mondays and Fridays. Seats on these routes are on sale from today
and can be booked on wizzair.com from £15.49 one way

Celebrating the announcement of Wizz Air's new route connecting Budapest to Birmingham at the 136th IATA Slot Conference in
