Strategic Airlines flying for Olympic Holidays

Strategic Airlines will be flying a series of peak season
weekly IT flights for Olympic Holidays using a Manchester
based Airbus A320
.
The first flight is planned for Wednesday 30 May 2012

Aegean Airlines to return to Birmingham Airport for the summer 2012 season

Aegean Airlines (A3) will be returning to Birmingham Airport
for the summer 2012 season with a weekly Airbus A320 IT flight
from/to Larnaca on behalf of Olympic Holidays
.
Aegean Airlines last regularly operated into BHX back in 2005
when they used Boeing 737-400's on a weekly IT flight - since
then they have become a mainly scheduled operator with a large
fleet of Airbus's - please see below for the weekly schedule -

Holidays 4 U ceases trading

Holidays 4 U, an independent tour operator specialising in
Turkey, has ceased trading today, Wednesday 3 August 2011,
and has gone into administration

Holiday 4 U are the tour operator that is responsible for most
of the Onur Air flights to the UK and indeed 4 of the 5 weekly
flights to Birmingham

As a result all their future holidays have now been cancelled
and the CAA will be repatriating their holidaymakers currently
abroad - tomorrow/Thursday's Onur Air flight to BHX should
operate normally but will depart empty

At this time the CAA have not advised their plans for the rest
of the week but it is likely Onur Air will operate the flights
on the same basis but as they move into the second week of
the recovery operation flights will start to be consolidated
.

Nouvelair flying for Thomas Cook‏ Holidays

Thomas Cook Holidays are adding an additional weekly peak
season flight to Enfidha, the new Tunisian airport that is
replacing Monastir as the gateway to their main resort area
.
For the first 4 weeks of operation this Wednesday evening
flight will be operated by a Nouvelair Tunisie Airbus A320
- please see below for timings
.
From September 2011 the flight will be operated, at
different timings, by a BHX based Thomas Cook Boeing 757
.

Sky Wings Airbus A320 flying for Olympic Holidays from Birmingham Airport

Sky Wings - the Greek charter airline - is planning
to base an Airbus A320 at Birmingham Airport from
Sunday 15 May 2011 to operate a programme of IT
flights for Olympic Holidays
.
Sky Wings - flight code GSW - will be operating up to
13 weekly flights to Cyprus and Greece
.

Iceland Express are coming to Birmingham!!

Iceland Express will be basing a Boeing 737-700
at Birmingham every weekend during the school
holidays/peak summer season to provide extra
capacity for Thomas Cook Holidays
.
The aircraft will operate additional weekly IT
flights to Mahon, Palma and Tenerife with the
flights being operated under Astraeus "AEU" flight
codes and the aircraft in Iceland Express colours
.
The Boeing 737-700 will position from/to Gatwick
eack weekend
.

Thomson bookings up - increase BHX capacity

TUI Travel, parent company to Thomson, have reported
strong forward bookings for Summer 2010....
.
.... as a result from Thursday 20 May 2010 one of the BHX
based Boeing 757's will be replaced by a Boeing 767-300!
.
This aircraft is in addition to the First Choice/Thomson
Boeing 767-300 that will be based at BHX for part of the week
to operate the long haul IT flights - Cancun, Sanford etc
.
As a result a large number of short haul Thomson IT flights
from BHX are being "upgraded" to a Boeing 767-300 which
will remain based until the end of October 2010
.

Saga Airlines to return for Summer 2010!!

Saga Airlines (SGX) - the Turkish charter operator - will
be returning to BHX for the peak summer 2010 season with
a weekly Boeing 737-800 flight to Dalaman
.
Turkey - which is outside the Euro zone - looks set to be a
popular destination again for summer 2010 and these flights
- please see below for schedule - are in addition to flights
already planned by Cyprus Turkish, Onur Air, Pegasus and
Turkish Airlines
.
The flights are being sold by Kiss Flights who are also a new
operator from BHX for Summer 2010 and can be booked at
.
