Two Royal Moroccan Air Force Texan T-6C's on delivery arrived from
Inverness - the first aircraft to land was "13/TM" (CN-BTM)....

Both aircraft, which are on delivery from the USA, parked up on
the Elmdon apron to spend the weekend at Birmingham - they

a visit to Birmingham - after spending the afternoon parked up....

Monday 11 June 2012 - Sunwing/Thomson Boeing 737-8K5 C-FTLK off to "Euro 2012"!!

Sunwing Boeing 737-8K5 C-FTLK positioned in from Dublin
to operate a Thomson charter flight to Donetsk in the Ukraine
taking England fans to watch their first "Euro 2012" match
against France this evening/Monday. The aircraft - which left
BHX at 0540! - is in the Hapag Lloyd "retro" colour scheme
.
Air VIA Airbus A320-214 LZ-MDB positioned in from Bourgas
to operate for Monarch initially departing on their morning
service to Alicante - this was its first visit to BHX
.
Lufthansa Airbus A321-231 D-AIDB operated their morning
service from Frankfurt - its first visit to BHX - while....

.... Lufthansa Regional Embraer 195LR D-AEBO operated their
afternoon service from Munich - also on its first visit to BHX
.
Aer Lingus Regional/Aer Arann ATR 72-212A EI-REL operated
their inaugural service to Knock/Ireland West Airport - a route
dropped by bmibaby the previous day

Suckling Dornier 328-110 G-BWWT operated the morning flybe
service to Dundee in place of the usual Loganair Saab 340

Sunday 16 May 2010 - the Icelandic Volcanic Ash Cloud is coming back again....

.... but first we have the diversions! With the Volcanic Ash Cloud
returning to UK air space many airports north of BHX closed
resulting in a large number of aircraft diverting in during the
afternoon filling the 70's and 80's stands....
.
.... and with 7 Ryanair Boeing 737's parking on Taxiway Tango
the former cross/short runway - BHX closed at 1900.....
Aurigny ATR 72-202 G-BWDB operated the afternoon Guernsey
to Manchester service to BHX while ....
.
.... a number of biz jets also diverted including Learjet 40XR G-HPPY
.
.... and Learjet 31A D-CSAP
.
Pegasus Boeing 737-8S3 TC-APH operated their weekly flight
to Antalya - the aircraft wears billboard "flypgs.com" titles
.
Turkmenistan Boeing 737-7GL EZ-A007 was an early morning
visitor as it made a fuel stop on its way back to Ashkabad from
Lackland in the US where it had been for maintenance

Tuesday 22 April 2008 - Air Comet Airbus A320 EC-KBM diverts to BHX

Air Comet Airbus A320 EC-KBM diverted into BHX due to a
runway closure at Gatwick - after refueling it departed off
Runway 15 back to Gatwick
.Swiss used Contact Air Fokker 100 D-AGPH on their lunchtime
service from Zurich in place of the usual Avro RJ 100 - the aircraft is in Star Alliance colours
.
. Danish Air Transport ATR 72 OY-RUB operated a charter flight
from Billund with the aircraft parking up on the Elmdon apron
.Royal Air Force Tristar C2 ZE705 operated a medivac flight
before positioning out to RAF Brize Norton

visitor to the Elmdon apron bringing in Sunderland FC for
their Premier League match again Aston Villa on Saturday

departure on a training flight to Cherbourg

on the Elmdon apron after another visit to the flybe hangar

Saturday 14 April 2012 - ATR 72 SX-BII departs to Sonderborg after parking at BHX

Former Olympic Airlines ATR 72-212 SX-BII which had arrived
at BHX back on Thursday 5 January 2012 for long term parking
under the care of flybe departed to Sonderborg in Denmark as
"Southern Cross 1231" - fellow ATR 72 SX-BIG is also expected
to depart Birmingham in the next few days

ASL Airlines Boeing 737-38BSF F-GIXC was a morning arrival on the Elmdon apron....

from Bucharest - it had been escorted into BHX following a loss of communications by two RAF
