The Mayor of Solihull officially opens the new "Travelodge Birmingham Airport"

The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Irene Chamberlain and
David Winstanley, Operations Director for Birmingham
Airport officially opened the £9.8 million Birmingham Airport
Travelodge hotel on Wednesday 24 August 2011
.
Situated on the Elmdon site over looking the runway, the new
200 room property is Travelodge's first hotel at the airport and
their 19th hotel in the Birmingham area
.
To celebrate the official opening Councillor Irene Chamberlain
cut the ribbon and officially declared the hotel open for business
before meeting the hotel team and taking a tour of the hotel
.

The new "Travelodge Birmingham Airport" opened on
the evening of Thursday 11 August 2011

The 200 room hotel has been built by Anglo Holt on
the Elmdon site adjacent to the existing Holiday Inn
