Friday 25 April 2014 - Twinjet Airbus A319CJ G-NMAK arrives for parking on the Elmdon apron

Thomson Boeing 767-304ER G-OBYG was a morning arrival from Orlando Sanford

Thomas Cook Airbus A321-211 G-DHJH positioned in from Manchester to operate
an additional start of season IT flight to Tenerife

Monarch Boeing 757-2T7 G-DAJB spent the morning parked on Stand 505 before being
towed into the hangar while Airbus A300B4-605R G-OJMR which was parked behind it was
later moved to the 80's stands in preparation for its final flight to Tarbes Lourdes next week

FedEx Boeing 757-204SF N923FD operated their morning service from Paris CDG - it had previously....

.... been a BHX regular when it was G-BYAF with Thomson - it was soon on its way to Manchester

Air Contractors Lockheed L100-30 Hercules EI-JIV was an evening arrival from Cambridge
- the aircraft is planned to depart to Amman on Saturday morning on return to Safair

Runway Watch - Monday 28 April 2014

A view of the new Runway 15 ILS - Instrument Landing System - Localiser as work continues to
complete the 400 metre runway extension and associated infrastructure at Birmingham Airport....

The new Runway 33 ILS Glide-slope aerial and associated infrastructure is now in place - and
operational - the 33 ILS has been relocated from the east side of the runway to an area adjacent
to holding point Foxtrot 1 - an AIS Airlines Jetstream 32 can be seen on short finals to Runway 33

A Jet Blast Deflector is being installed adjacent to (new) holding point Sierra 2 to protect
vehicles using the new airside perimeter road from the jet blast of aircraft (up to Airbus
A380 size) using (new) Taxiway Sierra as they wait to line up on Runway 33....

- the aircraft was previously 9H-AEF with Air Malta but still retains the basic colour scheme

where it had completed some engines runs as part of its end of lease checks....

Monday remained parked up on Stand 74 - it was previously JY-AYJ with Royal Jordanian

AIS Airlines Jetstream 32 PH-OCI operated the afternoon Eastern Airways flight from Newcastle
- its first visit to BHX. The aircraft is in the basic colours of Swedish airline direktflyg and had
earlier positioned into Newcastle to take over from PH-CCI which had operated the Newcastle
to Birmingham route on behalf of Eastern Airways since Wednesday 5 February 2014

FedEx Boeing 757-2B7SF N910FD operated their morning Paris CDG - BHX - Manchester
service which is currently visiting in daylight because of the overnight Runway closures

Carpatair Fokker 100 YR-FKA which is currently based and operating as and when required
for flybe was parked on the Elmdon apron undergoing maintenance checks

TAG Espana Falcon 900B EC-JBB was a day stopping visitor

Gama Super King Air G-SASD which is operated on behalf of the Scottish Ambulance
Service was a lunchtime visitor operating an air ambulance flight

FlightCal Navajo Chieftain G-VIPP was an afternoon visitor calibrating the new Runway 33 ILS

Cessna 210N Centurion N67JK was an afternoon arrival from Fairoaks parking up
