flybe Dash 8-402Q G-JECE was an afternoon departure to Edinburgh

Air Slovakia Boeing 757-236 OM-DGK was damaged during the overnight gales which lifted up the aircraft
and turned it through 90 degrees with a set of passenger boarding steps ending up under the aircraft

Armenian International Airbus A320-212 EK-32001 remained parked up on the 70's stands
but this time displaying the titles in English - its is operating on behalf of Midland Airways

bmibaby Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYA which had positioned in from East Midlands on Thursday
evening was named "brummie baby" before operating their first departure from BHX - a
local flight - as bmibaby commenced operations from Birmingham - report here

bmibaby Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYA has been named "brummie baby"

Birmingham International Airport today, Friday 7 January 2005, welcomed bmibaby
to its increasing portfolio of airlines and destinations, offering even greater choice
for Midlands' travellers from the region's largest Airport
 
bmibaby will fly to nine destinations - Alicante, Edinburgh, Belfast International,
Malaga, Palma, Prague, Amsterdam, Knock and Geneva - offering over 130 flights
every week throughout the winter months. Additionally, the airline will launch
services to Cork, Murcia and Nice from the end of March 2005
 
Peter Vella, Birmingham International Airport's Business Development Director,
said, "bmibaby will compliment our existing portfolio of low cost and full service
airlines and will provide even greater choice for business and leisure passengers"

To mark the launch of services children from Marston Green Infant School were
on hand to help name Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYA "brummie baby" before taking
a short flight as the WW1075 around the local area

Boeing 737-3L9 G-OGBD operated their first service to Malaga as the WW1031
while Boeing 737-3L9 G-OGBE went to Alicante as the WW1041 with G-TOYA
operating the WW1091 to Knock after it returned from the promotional flight

All flights with bmibaby from Birmingham will be operated by Boeing 737-300
and 500 jet aircraft with 148 and 131 seats respectively

CityJet Avro RJ85 EI-RJY was a morning arrival operating
a day stopping charter from Stornoway in the Western Isles....

.... followed in by Loganair/flybe Saab 340B G-LGNC from the
same destination both aircraft parking up for the day at BHX

bmibaby Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYI was a morning departure
to Malaga as they operated their final Saturday schedule....

.... with Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYD an afternoon departure
operating their final service to Lisbon before the airlines
ceases operations on Sunday 9 September 2012

Airport Boeing 737-37Q G-ODSK receives a farewell wave from
the staff of their local handling agent Servisair....

.... bmibaby had ceased passenger operations on Sunday
evening, 9 September 2012 with the four based aircraft
spending the night on the 80's Stands at Birmingham

The first aircraft to depart was Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYI....

.... which is named "tinylife baby"

Next aircraft to depart was Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYD....

.... which is named "Surf's up, baby !"

.... followed by Boeing 737-36N G-TOYH

.... which is named "baby of the north" - this aircraft had operated
their final service from Birmingham (to Prague) on Sunday

The final aircraft depart was Boeing 737-37Q G-ODSK....

.... which is named "dragonfly baby"

.... after lining up on Runway 15 it received the best wishes
from all in Air Traffic Control at Birmingham

.... before climbing away destination Norwich - bmibaby

Monday 3 September 2012 - Gainjet Boeing 737 SX-MTF takes England U21's to Baku

GainJet Boeing 737-329 SX-MTF was an afternoon departure
taking the England Under 21 Football team to Baku for their
UEFA U21 European Championship match against Azerbaijan

the Elmdon apron - it is jointly marketed by Multiflight
whose titles are on the tail

Turkish Airlines Airbus A321-231 TC-JRB operated their
flight to Istanbul - it is in "Star Alliance" colours with large
15th anniversary stickers on the rear fuselage

bmibaby Boeing 737-59D G-BVZE which had operated
BHX flights on Sunday positioned back to East Midlands
- the least visit of a bmibaby "735" to Birmingham....

.... while Boeing 737-3Q8 G-TOYD commenced its last week
of operations from BHX with bmibaby scheduled to cease
operations on Sunday 9 September 2012

Austrian Arrows Dash 8-402Q OE-LGD operated the afternoon
Brussels Airlines flights in place of the usual DH4 OE-LGC

KLM cityhopper Fokker 70 PH-KZD operated the first flight
on their additional daily service that will now operate until
the end of the summer schedules - more information here
