Tuesday 14 April 2009 - Turkmenistan Boeing 767 EZ-A700 on the way to the USA!!

VIP/Goverment aircraft like Boeing 737-700 EZ-A007 which had
passed through BHX in the opposite direction at the start of April -

Amritsar via Bratislava before positioning out to Paris CDG

Air Slovakia Boeing 757-236 OM-DGK was damaged during the overnight gales which lifted up the aircraft
and turned it through 90 degrees with a set of passenger boarding steps ending up under the aircraft

ExecuJet Scandinavia Lear Jet 45 OY-LJJ was a morning arrival
on the Elmdon apron - the aircraft is still in Lear Jet house colours

For the second week running Air Slovakia Boeing 737-300 OM-ASF
operated their return service from Bratislava (and Amritsar) - the
aircraft wears the titles and tail insignia of Nigerian airline Bellview
.
Aer Lingus Airbus A321 EI-CPC operated their early morning
service from/to Dublin in place of the usual Airbus A320
.
Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-DLN wears additional "Bye Bye Baby" titles
.

connecting service from Bratislava (and Amritsar) - the aircraft
wears the titles and tail insignia of Nigerian airline Bellview

Eastern Saab 2000 G-CDEA was a morning visitor to the Elmdon
apron before operating a charter flight to Newcastle
.
Goodyear Tire Challenger 601 N20G was a lunchtime arrival....
.
.... while Lear Jet 60 N80DX which was a morning arrival spent the
day parked on the Elmdon apron before departing to Dublin

Monday 16 March 2009 - Twinjet Airbus A319CJ G-NMAK spends day parked up

Twinjet Airbus A319CJ G-NMAK was repositioned to face north on its
normal parking spot over the weekend due to expected strong winds
.
Air Slovakia Boeing 757-28A OM-ASG operated the outward
sector of their weekly service to Amritsar via Bratislava
.
Eastern Jetstream 41 G-MAJK operated their morning service
to Newcastle - the aircraft is still in their old colour scheme

Tuesday 24 February 2009 - Air Slovakia Boeing 757 OM-ASG operates flight from Amritsar

Air Slovakia Boeing 757 OM-ASG operated the return sector of their
weekly service from Amritsar before positioning back to Bratislava
- the aircraft was formerly C-GTDX with Zoom
.
Blue Line MD 83 F-GMLK - which had arrived on Monday evening -
departed to Moscow Vnukovo with the Aston Villa team in advance
of the second leg of their UEFA cup tie against CSKA Moscow on
Thursday evening - the aircraft is in a VIP configuration with just
small Blue Line titles and a silver colour scheme
.

Friday 6 February 2009 - more snow in the UK! - more diversions to BHX!!

Snow again closed Luton resulting in Bulgaria Air Boeing 737-330
LZ-BOW - which was operating SkyEurope flight "NE 2122" from
Prague - diverting in. It later positioned back to Prague
.
Also diverting from Luton was Air Slovakia Boeing 737-3Z9 OM-ASC
which was operating SkyEurope flight "NE 120" from Bratislava
.
Scot Airways Dornier 328-110 G-BZOG was an afternoon visitor to
the Elmdon apron arriving with the Newcastle United FC team for
their match against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday afternoon

Monday 2 February 2009 - winter comes to the UK! - diversions come to BHX!!

Significant snow falls in the south east on Sunday evening
resulted in a large number of diversions to BHX from
Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and London City and
the bad weather continued into Monday....
.
.... the result was an airport packed with overnight diversions!
.
Good use was made of the former cross runway - now Taxiway
Tango - and despite the number of earlier diversion they kept
coming during Monday although BHX had to close a number
of times during the day for snow clearance
.
Wizz Air Airbus A320-232 LZ-WZB was operating flight "W6 901"
from Sofia to Luton when it diverted in. It had another go to get
into Luton in the early afternoon only to divert back to BHX again!
.
British Airways Boeing 747-436 G-CIVW was operating flight
"BA 118" from Bangalore when it diverted in from Heathrow
.
Wizz Air Airbus A320-232 HA-LPI was operating flight "W6 201"
from Budapest to Luton later positioning direct back to Budapest
.
The snow ploughs prepare for another run down the runway!

Air Slovakia Boeing 737-3Z9 OM-ASC was operating SkyEurope
flight "NE 120" from Bratislava to Luton when it diverted in
.
Boeing 737-7AH BBJ N888TY which had been parked on the
Elmdon apron since it arrived from the US on Saturday evening
departed to Zurich in the middle of a blizzard!
