Monday 11 December 2017 - Seeing double Emirates Airbus A380s as 4 visit after Sundays snowfall

Emirates Airbus A380-861 A6-EOY operated their lunchtime flight from Dubai landing as
A380-842 A6-EUY which had diverted to Manchester the previous day was still boarding

As no stand was available A380 A6-EOY then had to hold on Taxiway Alpha while a
number of following arrivals landed and then backtracked down Runway 33 to pass it

Emirates Airbus A380-842 A6-EUY was soon on its way albeit nearly 24 hours late....

.... departing to Dubai and causing its own snowstorm as it lifted off Runway 33

As a result of Sunday's diversions both of which went to Manchester and then returned
today/Monday a total of 4 Emirates Airbus A380s operated through Birmingham -

1030/1230 EK39D/8040 388 from Manchester/to Dubai A6-EUY
- return of flight diverted on Sunday - Emirates
1125/1330 EK039/040 388 from/to Dubai A6-EOY

Above are "planned times - the final flight did not depart until after 0200 Tuesday morning!

Thursday 8 June 2017 - Monarch Boeing 737-82R G-ZBAV operates its first crew training flight

Monarch Boeing 737-82R G-ZBAV was a morning departure to Durham Tees Valley....

.... as Monarch commenced a series of crew training flights prior to the aircrafts entry
into service at the end of June 2017 - it then continued onto Prestwick and Newquay

.... before returning to BHX at lunchtime - it operated the route in reverse during the
afternoon and will fly a similar pattern of flights over the coming days

Titan Boeing 757-256 G-ZAPX was a morning arrival when it positioned in
from Stansted to operate a charter to Rome

Freebird Airbus A320-214 TC-FHC operated the final flight of a series of weekly
seasonal IT flights to Antalya departing via Manchester

.... and has recently been refitted with new Aviation Partners Boeing Scimitar Blended winglets

.... replacing the previous winglets - it departed off Runway 33
