match - a long time since we last had a football charter from BHX!

for VW with the aircraft parking on the Elmdon apron
.PIA Boeing 777-240ER AP-BGL was parked up on stand 86C
- the left hand engine had been damaged by a fuel tanker on
Thursday night as it was preparing to depart on the PK 792 to
Islamabad. The flight was cancelled and the aircraft moved to
a remote stand to await further inspection/repair

FedEx Express Boeing 757-2o4F N923FD made a rare daylight
visit after it diverted back from Manchester having earlier....

.... departed on its early morning schedule only to find Manchester
fog bound and their ILS unserviceable - as a result it diverted back
.
.... to Birmingham and after refuelling continued its journey
- N923FD was a one time BHX regular as G-BYAF with Thomson
.
Strategic Airbus A320-212 LX-STA also diverted in while
routing from Zakynthos to Manchester - after refuelling
it continued onto Manchester
.
The Aston Villa football team departed to Germany for their
pre season match against Werder Bremen on Saturday....

.... on flybe Embraer 175 G-FBJC which took them to Hannover

Olympic Airlines ATR 72-202 SX-BIG behind it

Lufthansa Cityline Canadair CRJ 701ER D-ACPE operated their afternoon service to Düsseldorf

Saturday 21 April 2012 - bmi now owned by IAG continue to fly for Lufthansa

bmi Airbus A320-232 G-MIDO operated the lunchtime Lufthansa
service to Frankfurt. bmi was sold to IAG - the parent company
of British Airways - on Friday 20 April 2012 but should continue to
operate on behalf of former parent Lufthansa until October 2012
