when it positioned in from Belfast to become BHX based. It
is now available for freight charter work together with their

flights will be operated by a based Thomas Cook Boeing 757

Another day of significant progress on the new ATC Tower
- the steel framework at the top is starting to appear round
the other side of the tower while work has now commenced
on the service building at the base of the tower

to operate a freight charter to Zweibrucken - its first visit to BHX

Tor Air/Balkan Holidays Airbus A320-212 LZ-BHB which had
operated a sub charter to/from Corfu for Sky Wings overnight
spent the day parked up on the 70's stands
.
bmi Airbus A320-232 G-MIDO operated the evening Lufthansa
service from Frankfurt replacing the usual based aircraft G-MIDS

PIA Boeing 777-240ER AP-BHX operated their service from Islamabad
- it wears the Quetta - "Nature's Orchard" tail colour scheme

Swiss Avro RJ100 HB-IYU operated their evening service from Zurich
in place of the usual Helvetic Fokker 100 - it is in "Star Alliance" colours

Airport officially opened the £9.8 million Birmingham Airport
Travelodge hotel on Wednesday 24 August 2011

Situated on the Elmdon site over looking the runway, the new
200 room property is Travelodge's first hotel at the airport and
their 19th hotel in the Birmingham area

To celebrate the official opening Councillor Irene Chamberlain
cut the ribbon and officially declared the hotel open for business
before meeting the hotel team and taking a tour of the hotel
