Thursday 7 January 2021 - Boeing 737-73W N946BC arrives for conversion to an E-7 Wedgetail for the RAF

Boeing 737-73W BBJ N946BC was an afternoon arrival from Bangor - the first aircraft for

conversion to an E-7 Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning aircraft for the Royal Air Force

.... the aircraft was previously operated as a Boeing BBJ by Deer Jet as B-5273 before

being acquired by Boeing and prepared at Georgetown, Delaware, from where it had

departed on Wednesday morning using flight number "BOE126" Photo Andrew Fellows


.... after night stopping at Bangor, Maine, it continued onto BHX for a late afternoon

arrival landing on Runway 33 and taxying to the STS Aviation Services hangar which

it soon disappeared into - it is due to enter service with the Royal Air Force in 2023

"Dedeman Hotels and Resorts" a Turkish hotel chain

evening service from Copenhagen

Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-8F2 TC-JGY operated their
service to Istanbul - the aircraft wears a special colour
scheme to mark their sponsorship of FC Barcelona
.
Falcon 200 VP-CCL of "New Yorker" the German fashion
company was an evening visitor to the Elmdon apron

Sunday 26 May 2013 - Air Berlin Airbus A330-223 D-ALPF operates a charter to Venice

Air Berlin Airbus A330-223 D-ALPF positioned in from Berlin Tegel....

.... on its first visit to BHX

.... parking on Stand 42C

.... and then operating a charter to Venice

Turkish Airbus A321-231 TC-JRU operated their morning service from Istanbul - its first visit to BHX

SAS Boeing 737-683 LN-RPU operated their service to Stockholm Arlanda
which has now moved to a morning departure time on Sundays

KLM cityhopper Embraer 190-100LR PH-EZX operated their morning service
to Amsterdam - the aircraft is in "Skyteam" colours

Alba Star Boeing 737-4K5 EC-LTG operated the Monarch service to Alicante

Falcon 900DX M-DADI which had arrived on Friday positioned back to Luton

Citation CJ2 YU-BUU made a brief afternoon visit to the Elmdon apron

Citation II EC-IMF was an evening arrival parking up to night stop at BHX

Monday 6 May 2013 - ULS Airlines Cargo Airbus A310-308F TC-SGM operates a charter from Istanbul

ULS Airlines Cargo Airbus A310-308F TC-SGM was an early morning visitor arriving....

.... from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport and landing on Runway 33 just after dawn

.... and parking on the Elmdon apron - the aircraft has recently returned from lease
to Saudi Arabian Airlines in whose basis colour scheme it still operates

Ground handling equipment was soon on the aircraft....

.... and the unloading of the 13 pallets of motor racing equipment began

.... with the freight being rapidly transferred to the freight centre

That did not take long! - the inside of an empty Airbus A310F

The sun was now up allowing a better view of the aircraft on the Elmdon apron....

.... with the empty pallets reloaded back on the aircraft it was time for it to start up

.... and taxi for a departure off Runway 33

.... back to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport - a job well done by all involved!

Atlantic Airlines Boeing 737-322SF G-JMCL which had had arrived on Sunday evening
spent the day parked up - it is used to transport race horses and was visiting BHX
because of the reduced opening hours at its Coventry base over the holiday weekend

Jettime Boeing 737-3Y0QC OY-JTH operated the morning SAS service to Copenhagen
in place of the usual Canadair CRJ900 - its first visit to BHX....

.... it later return again operating the evening SAS service

Tuesday 4 May 2010 - seeing Viking double - Boeing 737's SE-RHU and SE-RHV at BHX

Seeing double Viking! - but note the different style titles -
Boeing 737-36N SE-RHV positioned in from Gatwick to operate
their weekly flight to northern Iraq....
.
.... while Boeing 737-36N SE-RHU which had been parked up on
the 70's stands positioned to Lasham for maintenance
.
SAS MD 82 SE-DIN operated their morning service
to Copenhagen in place of the usual Canadair CRJ 900
