easyJet Airbus A320-214 G-EZUI operated their afternoon service from Geneva....

.... it wears a special "reverse" colour scheme and small "easyJet's 200th Airbus" titles

.... and was soon on its way back to Geneva

PDG Helicopters Eurocopter Ecureuil II G-BVLG which had been carrying out survey work

Small Planet Airlines Airbus A320-233 SP-HAI taxied onto the grass adjacent to Taxiway Alpha
after landing safely from Paderborn at Birmingham Airport on Sunday 21 February 2016....

.... the passengers were safely disembarked onto coaches and taken to the airport terminal

.... while an operation commenced to recover the aircraft the runway at Birmingham Airport

.... remained open with other flights continuing to arrive and depart normally and without delay

The operation get the aircraft back onto the taxiway took over 2 hours....

.... before it was finally pulled back on to the taxiway

.... it was then towed up Taxiway Alpha

.... while an operation to clean the taxiway commenced

.... the aircraft was towed across the runway

.... to the Monarch Aircraft Engineering hangar for further inspection - it had been operating
Small Planet flight S5 3260 from Paderborn, Germany - there were no reported injuries
