The winter 2011/12 schedules started on Sunday 30 October 2011
and set out below is a summary of the charter and scheduled airlines
operating to Birmingham including the significant changes
Innsbruck (from Friday 16 December 2011)
service to Amritsar, India, via Vienna, with the frequency planned to
increase to 5 times weekly

from Waterford on Monday 14 November 2011
changes - continue to operate from Cork twice daily and Shannon
dailyusing ATR 72's although some flight numbers change - schedule -
on Thursday/Friday when an additional late evening service
will operate - no significant changes to other timings while
Cork and Shannon services will continue to be operated by
Aer Arann flying as Aer Lingus Regional - see above
to Hannover - which is again planned to become an Airbus A320
operation - and a weekly Boeing 737-800 flight to Paderborn
although other types maybe substituted at short notice - schedule -
to operate from Lyon twice daily on weekdays and once on Sundays
using a Canadair CRJ100
flights from Paris CDG which are operated on a code share basis with
FLYBE. As a result CITYJET Avro RJ85's will no longer operate to BHX
- schedule -
to Innsbruck from Friday 16 December 2011 - after the Christmas
/New Year holiday period this flight will operate on a Saturday
based Boeing 737's - flights to Prague have already resumed and
Geneva returns for the ski season
5 times weekday Avro RJ85/100 service from Brussels. While the
Saturday morning bmi regional Embraer 145 service no longer
operates they will continue to use a TYROLEAN Dash 8 on Sunday
afternoons
Embraer 135/145 service from Gothenburg
to Amritsar, India, via Vienna to 5 times weekly with flights operated
by a MINT AIRWAYS Boeing 757 - schedule -
flight - with Boeing 757's from Newark - flight numbers will change
to UA026/027 in due course when integration with UNITED (UA)
is completed
Jetstream 41 service to Newcastle three times daily on weekdays
resume in December 2011 - their flights will be operated by a mix of
"EZS" HB- Airbus A319's and "EZY" G- Airbus A319's
Boeing 777-300ER service from Dubai but timings one hour earlier
for the winter as the UAE does not change clocks - schedule -
schedule with Paris CDG now served on code share basis
with AIR FRANCE. Chambery returns for the ski season.

operation while the 3 times daily Munich service continues to see
a mix of LUFTHANSA CITYLINE Canadair CRJ900's and Embraer 190's
an all Airbus A321 operation this winter
after the Hajj pilgrimage but operated by a Boeing 777-300. When
the fourth service restarts on Sunday 18 December 2011 three of
the flights will be operated by Boeing 777-200's
aircraft but further aircraft maybe based on a "standby" basis.
The only flights operated by non based aircraft are some Dublin
services and flights from Faro -
Copenhagen - other than that no significant changes but
most morning services will be operated by MD 81's with the
evening and Saturday service flown by Canadair CRJ900's
from Zurich which is operated by a HELVETIC Fokker 100
IT flights to a range of sun and ski destinations
the based Boeing 737-800 will remain at BHX until to the start
of December when it is off on lease to SUNWING (of Canada) and
is replaced by a further Boeing 757
Verde islands while the long haul flights this winter will mostly
be operated by a FIRST CHOICE Boeing 767-300
Boeing 757 service to Ashkhabad and onto India
5 weekly the aircraft types change again from Airbus A320's
back to Boeing 737-800's - as always aircraft type is subject
to change and Airbus A319/320/321's and Boeing 737-700's
can still be expected to operate to BHX. Schedule -
