The Mayor of Solihull officially opens the new "Travelodge Birmingham Airport"

The Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Irene Chamberlain and
David Winstanley, Operations Director for Birmingham
Airport officially opened the £9.8 million Birmingham Airport
Travelodge hotel on Wednesday 24 August 2011
.
Situated on the Elmdon site over looking the runway, the new
200 room property is Travelodge's first hotel at the airport and
their 19th hotel in the Birmingham area
.
To celebrate the official opening Councillor Irene Chamberlain
cut the ribbon and officially declared the hotel open for business
before meeting the hotel team and taking a tour of the hotel
.
