Vueling add Malaga to their growing network of Spanish routes from Birmingham Airport

Vueling have announced a new route between Birmingham Airport and the Andalusian city of Malaga,
to be launched this winter. Services will begin on Tuesday 1 November 2016 operating every Tuesday
and Saturday. Flights will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft with capacity for 180 passengers

Vueling, a member of the International Airlines Group (IAG) started its operation from Birmingham
Airport in May 2015, with direct services to Barcelona. Following the success of Barcelona, the airline
announced two new routes which will start in June 2016: Alicante, with up to two weekly flights, and
Tenerife, with up to three weekly services 

Gabriel Schmilovich, Network Planning, Scheduling and Slots Director at Vueling, said: "We are very
glad to announce another new route from Birmingham Airport. Malaga is a hugely popular destination
for holidaymakers all year round and, with Vueling, Birmingham travellers will have access to a premium
product at very competitive fares"

William Pearson, Aviation Development Director at Birmingham Airport, said: "Vueling, which only started
services in May 2015 to Barcelona, has now announced a fourth route with the addition of Malaga for winter
2016. This popular Spanish destination means passengers have even more choice from their local airport
