SAS Scandinavian to launch new service from Stockholm to Birmingham Airport

SAS Scandinavian Airlines have announced today/Wednesday
that they will be starting a new 6 times a week service to
Stockholm Arlanda from the the start of the winter 2012 schedules
.
Hans Dyhrfort, SAS Regional General Manager for the UK, Ireland
& Iceland: said: "We are delighted to announce the expansion of
our operations from the UK’s second largest city – with 8 million
people living within 60 minutes of the airport, Birmingham is
an important area of development for us"
.
Martyn Lloyd, Air Services Development Director for Birmingham
Airport: said, "We’re delighted that SAS has recognised the need
for services to Stockholm for Midlands’ business and leisure
travellers and has taken the decision to expand its route network
from Birmingham Airport. We look forward to launching the
new service this winter and providing regular services
to Sweden’s wonderful capital city"
.
The daily flights to Stockholm will operate on Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and prices start from
£104, one-way including all taxes and charges
.
SAS schedule to Stockholm from Monday 29 October 2012

1250/1330 SK2553/2554 737 from/to Stockholm
-operates Monday to Friday
1300/1340 SK2553/2554 737 from/to Stockholm
- operates on Sunday
.
737 = mix of 737-600, 737-700 and 737-800
.
Flight does not operate on some off peak dates
