bmibaby adds extra summer 2009 flights from Birmingham Airport

In response to consumer demand, bmibaby (WW) has announced
extra flights from the Midlands to the Mediterranean this summer.
The low cost airline has increased capacity on its popular sunshine
routes from Birmingham to Murcia, Faro, Malaga and Alicante
.
In total bmibaby will add 24 extra flights a week to and from these
destinations over the peak summer months. The additional capacity
will mean that bmibaby is now the largest provider of flights from
the region to the Mediterranean this summer
.
Crawford Rix, managing director, bmibaby, said: "We are seeing
strong demand from passengers for flights from the Midlands to
typical summer sun destinations. As a result we are adding in extra
capacity from Birmingham to Murcia, Faro, Malaga and Alicante"
.
"The 24 additional weekly flights will allow us to carry an extra
1600 passengers from the Midlands to popular sun destinations
every week. The extra capacity will also make bmibaby the
largest low cost carrier flying from the Midlands to the
Mediterranean, and our great low fares mean that people
can still afford to get away for a holiday this year"
