Emirates at 10!! - Inaugural flight to Dubai on Monday 18 December 2000

Emirates commenced their daily service from Birmingham

to Dubai on Monday 18 December 2000....

.... the inaugural flight was operated by Airbus A330-243 A6-EAA

which was named "City of Birmingham" for the occasion

Passengers arriving at the airport were greeted by large

Emirates billboards marking the new service....

.... taking the theme of "world leader"

to the Midlands the previous week
