previously visited BHX when operated by Welcome Air as OE-LJR

Comlux Falcon 900EX 9H-GMT arrived from Barbados
- after unloading it positioned out to Paris Le Bourget
.
Falcon 7X N85DN - the new aircraft used by Aston Villa FC owner
Randy Lerner (replacing N85CL) - departed back to the USA
.
Boeing 737-7BC BBJ N796BA which had arrived on Saturday
afternoon also departed to Paris Le Bourget

JOTA King Air G-JOTA which had arrived in the early hours
of Friday morning remained parked on the Elmdon apron

KLM Boeing 737-7K2 PH-BGX operated their mid morning service to
Amsterdam - its third visit since it first visited BHX on Friday night!

flight from Paderborn - its first visit to BHX

Saturday 5 November 2011 - Boeing BBJ N768BA afternoon arrival on Elmdon apron

Boeing 737-7BC BBJ N796BA was an afternoon arrival - it had
previously visited BHX when operated by Netjets as N127QS
.
Gulfstream III N711UF which had arrived on Friday afternoon
remained parked up on the Elmdon apron
.
TAG Aviation Learjet 40XR G-HPPY was an afternoon visitor
.
RAF BAe 146 CC2 ZE701 made a low approach and go around
to Runway 33 before continuing onto Brize Norton
.
Air Moldova Embraer 190LR ER-ECB was an afternoon
arrival from Chisinau for attention by flybe
.
Air Berlin Airbus A320-214 D-ABDP operated their service from
Hannover as these flights reverted to A320's for the winter

Monarch Airlines announce major expansion of operations at Birmingham Airport

Monarch Airlines have announced a major expansion of
their operations from Birmingham Airport - from summer
2012 they will be adding two Airbus A320 to their based fleet
- making a total of 6 aircraft - and adding 5 new routes to -
.
Dubrovnik - starts on 1 May 2012 - twice weekly
on Tuesday and Saturday
.
Heraklion - starts 1 May 2012 - twice weekly
on Tuesday and Friday
.
Milan Malpensa - starts on 25 March 2012 - 4 times weekly
on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday
.
Rome Fiumicino - starts on 25 March 2012 - 5 times weekly
on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
.
Venice - starts on 25 March 2012 - 4 times weekly
on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
.
Paul Kehoe, Birmingham Airport’s CEO, said "We are
delighted with Monarch’s announcement regarding growth
at Birmingham. The increase in the choice of routes served by
Monarch underpins the confidence the airline has in the future

.... before being secured to the four supports that
had been lifted into place earlier in the week
.
.... meanwhile the airport continued to operate normally only
a few 100 metres away!!
.
The roof of the Control Room is scheduled to be lifted into place
on Tuesday 8 November 2011 - subject to the weather!!

Manchester to operate the Thomson IT flight to Cancun - for
the winter season Thomson will again be using First Choice
aircraft for their long haul flights from BHX

the day parked on the Elmdon apron before departing

a lunchtime departure - it now wears titles on the wing tanks

flight of the season from Sanford, Orlando, before positioning out
to Gatwick - First Choice aircraft will be operating the Thomson
long haul flights for the winter 2011/12 season
