Wednesday 13 October 2010 - first visit of a Boeing 747SP to Birmingham!!

Saudi Arabian Royal Flight Boeing 747SP-68 HZ-AIF touches down
on Runway 33 becoming the first "747SP" to visit Birmingham!!

It taxied back around the airport to park on the Elmdon apron
. The aircraft has recently gained "God Bless You" titles on the nose
. After an extended stay on the packed Elmdon apron
the departure was cancelled....
. .... and HZ-AIF was towed back across the Runway
to park up for the night on Stand 85C
.
Aviavilsa Antonov 26B LY-APK which arrived on a priority
freight charter in the early hours of the morning spent the
day parked up on Taxiway Lima - its first visit to BHX
.
Eastern Embraer 135ER G-CGMB positioned in from Paris Le Bourget
to operate a charter to Geneva on Thursday - another first visit!
. Lufthansa Flight Training Citation CJ1 D-ILHB also made
a first visit operating a training flight departing and to Dublin
